Alert: If your home is damaged by the spring thaw flooding, you are encouraged to report the damages to 2-1-1.
The information will be used by County Emergency Management to assess the amount of damage done to private residences, businesses, and the needs of the community.
It is not known at this time if there will be any financial assistance provided from FEMA, grants, loans or other sources. Everyone is encouraged to keep record of all expenses and take a lot of pictures of damages in the event there are any reimbursement or funding opportunities. This is the first step in gathering information so Counties can understand what, where, how much, and what type of damage has occurred.
Thank you to the nearly 100 volunteers who joined together on March 23rd to help sandbag homes in Hudson that were at risk of flooding. Local church groups, including Faith Community Church and others, came with volunteers and shovels in hand, ready to help out. The homeowners were deeply grateful for the help protecting their homes.
